What type of personal data do we hold about you?

We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with us and our products and when you purchase goods and services from us, or provide us with goods and services. The personal data we process includes:

  • your job title;
  • your payment and delivery details, including billing and delivery addresses and bank details;
  • and/or any other information you provide

Why do we hold your personal data and on what legal grounds?

We process the personal data listed above for the following purposes:

  • as required to establish and fulfil a contract with you, for example, if you make a purchase from us or enter into an agreement to provide or receive services. This may include verifying your identity, taking payments, communicating with you, providing customer services and arranging the delivery or other provision of products or services. We require this information in order to enter into a contract with you and are unable to do so without it;
  • to comply with applicable law and regulation;
  • in accordance with our legitimate interests in protecting BEP’s legitimate business interests and legal rights, including but not limited to, use in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation).  We may also use your information to invite you to take part in surveys, such as customer satisfaction surveys for the purpose of monitoring and improving quality;

Who do we share your personal data with?

We do not sell your information to anyone and only pass it to our trusted partners and service providers who work with us to run our business.

We may share your personal data with the below third parties:

  • our professional advisors such as our auditors and external legal and financial advisors;
  • our suppliers, business partners and sub-contractors; and/or search engine and web analytics.
  • government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if needed for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.

How long will we keep your personal data?

We will not keep your personal data for longer than we need it for our legitimate purposes.  We are required to retain certain information as required by law or for as long as is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions.

Where will we keep your personal data?

The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers, in which case the third country’s data protection laws will have been approved as adequate by the European Commission or other applicable safeguards are in place.  Further information may be obtained from our Privacy Team (privacy@bep-st.com).

Your rights  

You have a number of legal rights relating to your personal data, which are outlined here:

  • The right to make a subject access request. This enables you to receive certain information about how we use your personal data, as well as to receive a copy of it and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
  • The right to request that we correct incomplete or inaccurate personal data that we hold about you.
  • The right to request that we delete or remove personal data that we hold about you where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).
  • The right to object to our processing your personal data where we are relying on our legitimate interest (or those of a third party), where we cannot show a compelling reason to continue the processing
  • The right to request that we restrict our processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
  • The right to request that we transfer your personal data to you or to another party, in a structured format. This right applies in respect of data that you have provided where our legal ground for using the data is that it is necessary for the performance of a contract or that you have consented to us using it (this is known as the right to “data portability”).
